Design, analysis and performance evaluation of hybrid exhaust gas heat recovery device to keep food delivery items warm

In the present age of competitive marketing it has become a necessity to deliver good quality and proper condition products from the production facility to the end user, be it industrial goods, fast moving commercial goods or food products. In this area, the rate of online food delivery item is increased very rapidly. The food item which is to be delivered to the customer requires at least 15 to 20 minutes from the time of making. Meanwhile, the food item gets cooled and so as it loses its quality. The present innovation tackles this problem by providing an arrangement which will keep the food item warm up to the time of delivery. The basic principle of working for this arrangement is transferring heat energy of waste exhaust gas, which is anyways going waste to the food chamber which will maintain the food temperature and also reduces the heat from the exhaust. This innovation will be used mainly for the online food delivery. This can be also used to transfer food from one place to another without losing its quality. The exhaust gas heat recovery has been done many times earlier with the objective to either generate electricity or direct utilization of heat through direct or indirect heating. The project involves the concept and realization of a hybrid indirect heat transfer via heat pipe mechanism and thermoelectric heater mechanism. The project work embodies the selection process of the insulation box, selection of thermoelectric heater module, thermoelectric energy generator module. Thermal analysis for the several parts of the system is one using Ansys workbench steady-state heat transfer and the experimental evaluation of the performance of the device in individual and combined mode is done by suitable test and trial. The system effectiveness has been calculated and comment on the utilization for further applications has been done.

RP-HPLC method development and validation for the Estimation of Ciprofloxacin HCl and Betamethasone Sodium Phosphate in Eye/Ear drop dosage forms

A simple precise, accurate Reverse Phase isocratic High-performance liquid chromatography method has been developed for simultaneous determination of Ciprofloxacin Hydrochloride (CIPRO) and Betamethasone Sodium Phosphate (BETA) in Eye/Ear drop Pharmaceutical dosage form. Both drugs are separated by using Purosphere Star C‐18 column (250mm X4.6mm ID 5μm,) with the mobile phase consisting of 50 mM phosphate buffer solution pH 3.0: Acetonitrile (70:30 % v/v), with the flow rate of 1.0mL/min and detection wavelength set at 240nm.The optimum separation was achieved in less than 10 minutes. The developed Liquid Chromatographic method offers symmetric peak shape, good resolution and reasonable retention time for both drugs. The linearity study of the developed method carried out from the concentration range of 600 to 1800μg/ml for Ciprofloxacin and 20 to 60μg/ml for Betamethasone sodium phosphate, the Correlation coefficient found to be more than 0.999 for both Ciprofloxacin and Betamethasone Sodium Phosphate. The percentage recovery was found 99.41% for Ciprofloxacin and 99.69% for Betamethasone Sodium Phosphate. The method was validated as per ICH guidelines and is suitable for the routine analysis in dosage forms.

Augmented reality based literature analyzer

Augmented Reality (AR) is a growing area in virtual reality research. The world environment around us provides a wealth of information that is difficult to duplicate in a computer. An augmented reality system generates a composite view for the user. In this project, we were tasked with exploring present innovations and industry practices in the area of Augmented Reality. This knowledge was used to create an interactive literature analyzer using an AR application. This study aimed to implement Augmented Reality on literature like novels, magazines, children’s books by recognizing novel’s cover as a marker and to add the novel’s details on top of the cover in the device upon recognition. This way, a person interested in buying or reading a novel can have an authentic review of the book and then decide whether to buy it or not. The person will be able to read about the Author, the rating, the publishing date, and the preface of the book. Also, a Farm Animals children’s book is made in which farm animals image is used as a marker and their 3D view is shown. This project should prove quite beneficial in the real world as it will make books more interactive and attractive to students. It will be used in schools, college's libraries and in bookselling stores. This project will make it easier for people to decide which books to read and which to skip since they would have an authentic review to judge the book. Also, the AR 3D models book can make learning fun for children. Today augmented reality has spread its wings not just into gaming but also into our day to day life. From retail business to the health sector. Augmented reality has shown its capabilities and showcased its future scopes to all of us. The future of augmented reality seems really bright. Like any other evolving technology, AR also faces some obstacles regarding technical issues, to social and ethical problems to financial problem. Where none of the issues seems overwhelming. With time, all the technical issues will be resolved and AR will definitely showcase something that would fill the gaps between social and ethical issues too.
