Abstract

The present study aims at investigating the teaching effectiveness of teacher educators in relation to their teaching subjects and teaching experience. Descriptive survey method is adopted for the present study. The sample of 100 teacher educators (with experience / without experience) of B.Ed. colleges in Gautam Buddh Nagar District of Uttar Pradesh has been chosen through the random sampling technique. Teacher effectiveness scale (Kumar and Mutha, 1976) and personal information form have been used to collect the data. The data is subjected to descriptive and differential analyses for verifying null hypotheses. The result revealed that the teacher educators have very highest teacher effectiveness. Beside it is inferred that there is no significant difference between arts and science teacher educators in their teaching effectiveness. Further, it is concluded that there is the significant difference between experienced and non-experienced teacher educators with regard to their teaching effectiveness.
