Ageism: A comparative study among young adults

Ageism considered as stereotyping and discrimination towards age. Bigotry against older people can be detrimental for their health and well-being. The present study aims to find out the effect of gender (male and female) and staying condition (who stayed with old and who didn’t stay with old) on benevolent and hostile ageism. A total number of 98 participants have been selected by purposive sampling technique. The current study is a 2X2 factorial design. Results found young adults who are not staying with old have scored more in benevolent ageism than those who are staying with old people. Result from the simple effect analysis showed that female participants who are staying with old have more hostile ageism compare to those who are not staying with old.

Three methods of finding remainder on the operation of modular exponentiation by using calculator

The primary purpose of this paper is that the contents of the paper were to become a learning aid for the learners. Learning aids enhance one's learning abilities and help to increase one's learning potential. They may include books, diagram, computer, recordings, notes, strategies, or any other appropriate items. In this paper we would review the types of modulo operations and represent the knowledge which we have been known with the easiest ways. The modulo operation is finding of the remainder when dividing. The modulus operator abbreviated “mod” or “%” in many programming languages is useful in a variety of circumstances. It is commonly used to take a randomly generated number and reduce that number to a random number on a smaller range, and it can also quickly tell us if one number is a factor of another. If we wanted to know if a number was odd or even, we could use modulus to quickly tell us by asking for the remainder of the number when divided by 2. Modular exponentiation is a type of exponentiation performed over a modulus. The operation of modular exponentiation calculates the remainder c when an integer b rose to the eth power, bᵉ, is divided by a positive integer m such as c = be mod m [1]. It is useful in computer science, especially in the field of public-key cryptography. The modulo operation is important for cryptography because it can act as a one-way function that the output obscures the input. In this paper we discuss the three methods of finding the remainder in the modular exponentiation based on the formula by using a calculator.

Helix

Helix is a rover based on the principle of a suspension system. The rover is developed with a highly stable suspension system capable of operating in multi-terrain surfaces. The rover can sustain a tilt of over 50 degrees without flipping over the sideways. The rover can be also rotated in left or right direction for better controllability. A six-wheeled rover capable of traversing rough terrain using an efficient high degree of mobility suspension system has been chosen for the purpose. Six motors are located inside the body where thermal variation is kept to a minimum, increasing reliability and efficiency. Six wheels are used because there are few obstacles on natural terrain that require both front wheels of the rover to climb simultaneously. A camera and appropriate sensors are also mounted in the rover. In case of any variation in surrounding of the working area, the rover can alert the authority for the safety of the workers. With the implementation of rover in mining industries, we can surely say that many lives can be saved.

Study of utilization of concrete wastewater and treatment system

The purpose of this study is the examination of the properties of wastewater obtained from a ready-mixed concrete plant and its utilization potential as mixing water for concrete production of the batching plant from the Great Wall industry, Sagaing Division, Myanmar. The fact that wastewater has a detrimental effect on the durability of concrete structures is not disputable. The efficient water is one of the most important acquirements of cleaner production and the use of wastewater in concrete production important means to this end. Samples of wastewater from several points of a water recycling process from this ready-mixed concrete plant were examined for their chemical properties (CI; SO42 -, alkalis, total solids, pH) and compared with the specifications applied for concrete mixing water. Also, samples of dry sludge powder form the water-recycling process tank were taken and tested for their chemical composition, particle size distribution, and mineralogical composition and thermo gravimetrical results. The water samples were examined for their behavior in concrete specimens with and without admixtures and also for their effect in water demand and setting times in cement pastes. This paper reviews the degradation mechanism of wastewater on ready-mixed concrete structures with a view to finding what needs to be done to salvage these structures. It is obvious that the results of this investigation contribute to the protection of the environment from hazardous wastewater disposal and the ready-mixed concrete industry from freshwater costs and any additional cost for buying and conserving an unnecessary complicated water-recycling system.

Calculation on the false assumption makes incorrect result

This paper is only for reviewing a formula using in a particular subject. We have known a false assumption is an assumption as a kind of logic fallacy. And we have also known that false assumptions would produce incorrect results. Incorrect results cause to be incorrect decisions. In this paper, we propose a little but important problem that calculating on a false assumption of total communication time for distributed query processing within the distributed database environment. To understand our paper, we must first explain the basic knowledge of a distributed database system. A distributed database system consists of a collection of sites, connected together via some kind of communication network. In the distributed query processing there is two or more sites that may be included. The primary objective in distributed systems is to minimize the number and volume of messages between the participant sites. There will be many possible ways of moving data around the system to satisfy the request. To minimize the network utilization, it is important that an efficient strategy be found. There may be many possible strategies for processing the request. To evaluate which strategy is to be efficient, we will calculate the total communication time for each strategy by using the formula. The choice of the best strategy is based on the result of we calculated. So, if we must have the correct answer, then we can make the correct choice. In this paper, we will apply a formula that is teaching now in our university to calculate the total communication time. We would like to present our paper with two aspects, one is ‘the false assumption on the formula that we used’ and the second is ‘suggested for that formula with another view’.
