Observation on vascular malformation in respect of sclerotherapy as a treatment of choice

Vascular malformations are a vast group of congenital malformations that are present at birth and can affect any type of vessels like artery, vein, and lymphatics. These malformations can cause pain, pressure, and cosmetic annoyance as well as downturn growth and development in a child in the case of high flow. Sclerotherapy has become an important tool in the treatment of vascular malformations. However, little is known about the success rate of sclerotherapy. In this study, the efficiency of sclerotherapy in the treatment of vascular anomalies was investigated retrospectively in 36 patients treated at Patna Medical College and Hospital, Patna between May 2017 to December 2018. Results: Out of the 36 patients investigated, 94% (34) had Venous Malformations (VMs) and 6% (2) were defined as having arteriovenous malformations (AVMs). Out of all VMs cases 2(6%) VMs patients were operated. Hence 88% (32) of patients with a VMs received significant relief solely from sclerotherapy. The duration of treatment for the 6 % of the VM patients that needed a surgical procedure was prolonged by 5-7months. Sclerotherapy is an effective treatment modality for VMs with a satisfactory clinical response in 88% of cases.

An effective approach of semantic analysis to natural language translation system (English-Myanmar language)

English is one of the most widely spoken languages in the world these days. Most of the commercial websites are also being designed in English language. So, we need a language translation system to understand all websites and all information from the internet. This paper is one part of the English-Myanmar Machine Translation system. In our system, tagged English text is accepted as input. Firstly, these tags are tokenized. Each phrase is tokenized. The structure is basically a list of tokens. The linguistics clues are normalized. And then dictionary look up is performed. The guessing process is applied. Since the files are sorted according to alphabetically, required information can be searched quickly with a binary search. The dictionary-based translation technique produces one or more translation terms in the target language for each term in the source language. We propose a method called word sense disambiguation to solve the ambiguity of words. By using this technique and bilingual lexicon, the system may retrieve correct translated words.

The United Nations Charter, 1945 aims to maintain international peace and security. To achieve this tremendous goal, the United Nations along with the peaceful partnership of Member States needs to address the alarming issue of terrorism. This work significantly takes into considerations the various attempts of the United Nations to combat terrorism. This includes the legal instruments to prevent terrorist acts, various resolutions passed by the United Nations Security Council and the United Nations General Assembly, UN Global Counter-Terrorism Strategy and Counter-Terrorism Implementation Task Force. The four pillars included in the UN Global Counter-Terrorism Strategy have been dealt with in detail. Counter-Terrorism Implementation Task Force and its thematic Working Groups work for implementation of the Counter-Terrorism Strategy. These attempts by the United Nations are fruitful in knitting all nations together. In report A/71/858, released in 2017, the Secretary-General, António Guterres explores the outstanding role of the United Nations. The United Nations’ approach to addressing terrorism is very thorough and noteworthy. But, there is an urgent need for a comprehensive Convention to develop to clearly give a clear pathway to fight against terrorism. Terrorism, is an international problem cannot be solely solved by the United Nations. For this, all nations need to come together and develop strong judicial machinery. They should join hands with the United Nations system to support education, equality, human rights, and awareness.

This paper is a study of the extent of hides and skins production and recovery rates in Zaria municipal, to show the estimated profile of its economic impact in the local government areas and state in general. Based on the analysis of the annual livestock off-take, and recovery rate figures collected from the two local government areas, it has been shown that out of 140,895 pieces, only a total of 54,180 pieces of hides and skins were recovered, indicating a 61.5% loss as only 86,715 pieces of hides and skins could be recovered. Further diagnostic analysis of the causative reasons for the loss showed that 88.2% was caused by human consumption of hides (‘ponmo’) and skins as ‘bokoto’. Human consumption of hides and skins at this rate if left unabated threatens the future survival of the Nigerian leather and leather products industries.
